First Place in MichaelD Benefit Tournament

Next LeveL started out with an unexciting BYE the first round. Round 2 we were faced off against a top bf2 contender, 20ID, on Strike at Karkand. They put up a very good fight the first round, but were unable to break our defenses as MEC. Round 3 put us up against Team Illicit on Mashtuur City. Both rounds were filled with nonstop action, but in the end Team Illicit simply got out killed. After having won the first 2 matches, we were up against a tough Warchild team. Round 1 was over quickly as Warchild came out on fire and capped us out 75-0. 2nd round started out much better for us, but Warchild made some exceptional solo caps and kept us on our heels the whole time. Unfortunately some technicalities and roster problems caused warchilds forfieture from the league. Next Level ends up taking 1st in this case.

Anyhow, thanks go out to Peacemaker for buckling down as commander when ours was unable to attend due to real life issues. Overall the tournament was a blast and the donations recieved totaled over $1000 ! Good Job to the rest of the teams who participated in this event to help out a fellow gamer.
